The Silent Boob Envy

Updated: May 10, 2024

For some time now especially since the early 2000's, having a busty chest as a woman, has become somewhat fashionable. More men seem to request their other halves to have breast implants like it's nothing at all. I mean, this is a serious matter to go under the knife, for any reason but for a breast enlargement, I believe it not this is matter is not taken lightly at all.

My question is, have these men stopped to consider the potential health complications that this could incite? Let's face it, women who have natural big bust can attest that been blessed with big boobs can sometimes be a challenge, from finding a quality right bra size that fits comfortably, to finding the right shop to buy that bra.

Now let's talk about getting some a decent night sleep. The frustration of having to sometimes position your chest on the bed, the tors and turns just to sleep comfortably. These are some of the niggling frustrations, that naturally busty women endure or experience just to maintain their feminine curvy bust. I must say, there is more somewhat jealousy on both sides regarding women who are naturally busty, compared to women who are not naturally so busty. Some of the envy or jealousy include the non-busty ladies having the leisure of walking into any retail shops that sells women’s lingerie, easily finding their size from cup size A up to a D or even an E bra cup size and in very affordable prices.

Unlike naturally busty ladies like me, who must find a specialised lingerie shop to book a bra fitting appointment and find the right fitting for the bra strap, supportiveness for my lower back that is also comfortable and functional. Although it may sound like a lot of effort just to get a decent bra, I must say that I do enjoy the experience because from time to time, my dress size does change and to add to the fact that, various lingerie designers, sometimes have a slightly different cut sizes both for the cup or the back measurements.

Am example for myself is that the “Panache” bra designs or brand sizes are not the same as the “Bravissimo” or the “Freya” bra designs or brands sizes and I usually stick to Bravissimo and Freya brands as I know I am bound to get the sizes that will fit and will also give me the ease and feel comfortable throughout the day. I do sometimes get other designs especially if the fabric and colours are hot!

One thing I have noticed is that most naturally curvy busty women wear the wrong bra size especially women who are bust or cup size from triple “E” and above. I personally believe wearing the wrong bra size does not only have an impact on women’s health, especially, with back pain related health concerns and the lack of comfy sleep to say the least, but I also believe this can also have a subconscious influence in the mood of the women wearing the wrong bra size. Let's face it, if you are not comfortable within yourself, you are likely to be agitated easily which could be perceived as moody and quite often, this is true in most cases. As the Moon is also about the natural breast and if the Moon rules our moods it can also make us moody especially during the full Moon transits.

For the busty and curvy women, whether natural or not, finding a good fitting bra does come with its size, big! Yes, big breast cost money, because it must be worth the effort of getting a bra fitted. Of cause the price tag for a good quality brazier that fits comfortably usually has the price tag anywhere from £35 to about £45 and £15 for a matching underwear, therefore having a decent set of lingerie can easily cost an average of about £45 to £60. So, to get a few more matching sets of lingerie can be pricy, in the range of 150 – 200 quid.

Women who are not so busty on the other hand, can easily grab a bargain at their preferred retail shop to buy a bra with the average price tag of around only £5 or £7 and a matching set around only 10 to 15 quid. As we can clearly see here, the difference is huge in both literally terms, in size and price too. Non-busty women might envy naturally busy women, but the truth is in life, we are not always happy with what we naturally have and making the most of it.

There are some big chested women over the cup size DD who have completely giving up the idea of finding the right fitting bra, perhaps due to the lack of specialist bra shops that could provide such service in their locality. Some women have chosen to go for breast reduction due to health issues associated with a hefty bust.

Whilst having large breast may be more appealing to both men and women, the potential health concerns and issues regarding women’s breast remains whether to maintain their boobs as it is or opt-in for cosmetic or plastic surgery. Now about going under that knife, for any reason is by no means something to be taken lightly, as most of us have probably watched cosmetic surgery documentaries on our TV screen and witness have the pain the women had to endure throughout the process.

As mentioned before, some specialist lingerie shops can be expensive however I do admit that they are worth the price tag though. My personal experience is that I do enjoy the customer and the membership services with my preferred lingerie shop which is Bravissimo. I do find that over the years, I keep going back to shop with them regardless of which city I may be located at the time. I also find their products to be long lasting, top quality and durable, this also factors into sustainability to an extent and the production of fabrics and the overall impact the textile industry has on the health of our environment as most of the bra are produced from synthetic fabrics.

Recently as women are starting to think more about how to manage the underwire bra and the potential health risk that could be associated it, there has been some technological developments in how women now wear sticky bras that mainly gives the breast the support it needs and also to make dressing up more fun especially for ladies endowed with big or massive boobs.

Nowadays, there are a variety of bra styles and designs compared to way before the early 2000’s which has now given women of all bust shapes and sizes a choice such as the plunge bra, t-shirt bra, push up bra, padded bra, sticky bra, instant breast lift tapes, magic lift stick on bra, the sleep bra that is so helpful for supper curvy busty women like myself to manage our sleeping posture with the weight or the boobage area in mind. Fantastic!

Whilst some women with ample breast may envy naturally supper busty women for having more feminine and curvaceous cleavage and perhaps thinking that busty women seem to have more advantage when it comes to dressing up and perhaps looking more attractive in the large breast department, some big bosom women may envy those with smaller boobs as they get more choice of lingerie shops and also not have a potential bad back because, they don’t have any heavy bosom weighing them or giving them some form or discomfort should they wear a bra that might not necessary be the right size or indeed the right fit.

As breast augmentation or implants seem to be getting safer these days, now the boob envy, is the women who opt in for large breast implant or surgery who don’t even need to wear any bra because, the plastic surgeon has given them more options either to wear a bra or not. Yeah, that is envious for sure!

Although I don’t see the silent boob envy coming to an end anytime soon, I guess it's human nature to keep wanting what we don’t have at the time we have it, or, thinking of getting what someone else may naturally have plenty.

As some TV shows such as Botched on UK ITV and other tv documentaries has shown that some, plastic surgery or breast implants that have not gone well which resulted in regrets due to disfiguration of the women who suffered at the hand of inexperienced so-called plastic surgeon.

Research has shown that women who have successful breast implants gained more self-esteem, became more confident and feel more feminine but that is only a few who are fortunate to find top quality breast augmentation specialist clinics either abroad or with their locality.

In conclusion, big boobs cost money and has become fashionable and so the boob envy continues silently. If like me, you are a woman with a super curvy bust chest, I hope you are grateful for what you naturally have and enjoy what the Moon or the universe has gifted you, that is the gift of naturing, because some women will pay top dollar or pound sterling for a fake boob.

My personal take is to just make the effort and find a specialist bra brand or shop, book an appointment to get your boobage fitted and enjoy your natural femininity. As the breast is the symbol of nurture, you should try your best to nurture your femininity whether you have been endowed with huge melons or not!

These days, research and technology is doing quite a bit to help women feel more comfortable in the breast department and let's see what the future will bring women and our breasts!
